CFISD students compete at TFA State Tournament
Cypress Ridge High School senior Mazie Downey finished as a quarterfinalist in Humorous Interpretation at the 2025 Texas Forensic Association (TFA) State Tournament held March 6-8 at Katy Jordan High School.
April 15, 2025—More than 20 CFISD students competed in 11 different events at the Texas Forensic Association (TFA) State Tournament held March 6-8 at Katy Jordan High School.
Leading the accolades earned by CFISD students was Cypress Ranch High School senior Hunter Payne, who placed first overall in Impromptu Speaking. Cy-Fair High School senior Sanvi Kumpatla was the second-highest CFISD finisher, placing sixth overall in Dramatic Interpretation.
Cypress Springs High School junior Christian Jack finished as a quarterfinalist in Program of Oral Interpretation at the 2025 Texas Forensic Association (TFA) State Tournament held March 6-8 at Katy Jordan High School.
