Bridgeland HS sophomore earns gold medal at UIL State swim meet
Bridgeland High School sophomore Jackson Hartzler won the 200-yard individual medley state title at the UIL Swimming and Diving Class 6A State Meet, held Feb. 21-22 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin. Hartzler also placed sixth overall in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Feb. 27, 2025—Two CFISD simmers placed in the top three, and 10 others placed in the top 25 at the UIL Swimming and Diving Class 6A State Meet, held Feb. 21-22 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin.
Bridgeland High School sophomore Jackson Hartzler led CFISD swimmers by winning an individual state title in the 200-yard individual medley (1:47.33). Cy-Fair High School senior Sofia Luper earned two state medals. Luper placed second overall in the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.66) and placed third overall in the 100-yard freestyle (50.01).
