March 4, 2025—More than 125 million sets of eyes were on Cy-Fair High School alumnus Braden Mann and the rest of the Philadelphia Eagles as they won Super Bowl LIX, including his mom, Hamilton Middle School teacher Pam Mann, who was right there to see her son become a world champion.
“Watching Braden play in the Super Bowl was very surreal but such a blessing,” Pam said. “I had so many emotions that day from nervousness to excitement.”
Braden’s dad, Jim, and his wife, Kylie, also attended the big game and festivities with his mom. The NFL provided special events for the families of the players.
“There was a welcome party when we arrived in New Orleans, which allowed us to spend a few hours with him and his wife while socializing with other families and members of the Eagles organization,” Pam said. “They also hosted an elaborate tailgate before the game for friends and families of the players and coaches.”
Immediately following the game, the winning team’s families joined the celebration on the field.
“When Braden first spotted us in the crowd, he held up his ‘World Champion’ towel with a look of pure happiness and excitement,” Pam said. “That is a moment I will never forget.”

Winning the Super Bowl sent Braden through a whirlwind of emotions.
“My first thought was how cool it was to be a part of a world champion team and how lucky I was to be able to have that experience,” Braden said. “I have been blessed with so many amazing people to help me get to that point, so I was just feeling extremely grateful.”
Referencing back to an interview prior to the Super Bowl, Braden said he wouldn’t have to punt, but that wasn’t the case.
“Once warmups started and all the players were on the field, it felt pretty much like a normal game,” Braden said. “When I ultimately had to punt on our first drive, I felt comfortable and excited to go out and help the team.”
Braden kept the lessons he learned while a student at Cy-Fair with him throughout his career and knows what it takes to be a winner.
“At a great school like Cy-Fair, I was given every tool I could have ever wanted,” Braden said. “But I also had to use those tools and do actual work myself.”
After graduating from Cy-Fair in 2016, Braden played for Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M, he earned All-American honors in 2018, as well as the Ray Guy Award, which is presented to the most outstanding collegiate punter. The New York Jets drafted Braden in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Braden has been with the Eagles since 2023.
