March 5, 2025—The Cy-Fair High School swimming and diving teams won the KHOU Chevy Spotlight Award on Feb. 27 during a ceremony at the campus.

The KHOU Chevy Spotlight Award is awarded monthly to celebrate excellence at local high school sports programs.

“This award means a lot to us as a team,” said Cy-Fair Head Coach Hannah Dore. “The accumulation of the state swim meet along with the hard work they have put in this year is what matters most to me. The senior class has really progressed and seeing their dedication being recognized is important to our team.”

The team was featured on KHOU just ahead of their return to the UIL Swimming and Diving Class 6A State Championships, held Feb. 21-22 in Austin.

“I’m so proud and happy for our swim team,” said Cy-Fair Principal Ana Martin. “They’ve represented Cy-Fair High School well!”
