Boys’ basketball playoffs continue for six CFISD teams in area round

Feb. 27, 2026—The Cypress Ranch, Cypress Springs, Cypress Park, Cypress Creek, Cy-Fair and Cypress Falls high school boys’ basketball teams advanced past the bi-district round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the area round, while Cypress Woods High School concluded its season.  

Cypress Ranch defeated Klein, 74-58. The Mustangs advance to play Conroe at 7 p.m. on Feb. 27 at Klein Collins High School (20811 Ella Blvd).

Cypress Springs defeated Magnolia, 56-36. The Panthers advance to face Conroe College Park at 7 p.m. on Feb. 27 at Tomball High School (30330 Quinn Road).

Cypress Park defeated Klein Collins, 59-47. The Tigers advance to meet Conroe Grand Oaks at 7 p.m. on Feb. 27 at Tomball Memorial High School (19100 Northpointe Ridge Lane).

Cypress Creek defeated Houston Lamar, 65-51. The Cougars advance to play Katy Seven Lakes at 7:30 p.m. at Delmar Fieldhouse (2020 Mangum Road).

Cy-Fair defeated Houston Bellaire, 77-73, in five overtimes. The Bobcats advance to face Strake Jesuit at 7 p.m. on Feb. 27 at Strake Jesuit High School (8900 Bellaire Blvd).

Cypress Falls defeated Houston Westside, 52-49. The Golden Eagles advance to meet George Ranch at 7 p.m. on Feb. 27 at Cypress Lakes High School (5750 Greenhouse Road).

Tickets for Cypress Ranch, Cypress Springs, Cypress Park, Cypress Creek, Cy-Fair and Cypress Falls are sold online.

Cypress Woods was defeated by Klein Oak, 63-53. The Wildcats finished the season as bi-district finalists.
