
The Cypress Falls High School boys’ basketball team won the District 17-6A title after posting an undefeated 14-0 record in district play. The Golden Eagles advance to the bi-district round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs to play Houston Westside at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 at the Berry Center.
Feb. 23, 2026—The District 16-6A and District 17-6A boys’ basketball seasons ended on Feb. 18, with seven CFISD teams qualifying for the UIL playoffs.
Cypress Springs High School claimed its second consecutive District 16-6A championship with a 13-1 district record.
Cypress Ranch High School claimed the District 16-6A second seed with an 11-3 district record, followed by Cypress Park High School claiming the district’s third seed with a 10-4 record. Cypress Woods High School finished the season with a 7-7 district record to claim the district’s fourth seed.
In 17-6A, Cypress Falls High School claimed the district championship with an undefeated 14-0 district record. Cypress Creek High School finished the season with an 11-3 district record to earn the second seed and Cy-Fair High School claimed the fourth seed with an 8-6 district record.

Cypress Springs, Cypress Ranch, Cypress Park and Cypress Woods will enter the UIL Region II-6A playoffs with the following bi-district matchups:
- Cypress Springs will face Magnolia at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Waller High School (31213 Waller Spring Creek Road)
- Cypress Ranch will play Klein at 7 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Klein Cain High School (10201 Spring Cypress Road)
- Cypress Park will meet Klein Collins at 7 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Tomball High School (30330 Quinn Road)
- Cypress Woods will play Klein Oak at 7 p.m. on Feb. 23 at Cypress Ranch High School (10700 Fry Road)
Cypress Falls, Cypress Creek and Cy-Fair will enter the UIL Region III-6A playoffs with the following bi-district matchups:
- Cypress Falls will play Houston Westside at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road)
- Cypress Creek will face Houston Lamar at 7 p.m. on Feb. 23 at Delmar Fieldhouse (2020 Mangum Road)
- Cy-Fair will meet Houston Bellaire at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Delmar Fieldhouse.
