Nov.13, 2025—CFISD ended its football season with Cypress Ranch High School claiming the District 16-6A championship and five teams from two districts qualified for UIL bi-district playoffs.

Cypress Ranch finished 7-0 in District 16-6A play to claim an undefeated district title. Bridgeland High School placed second with a 5-2 record while Cypress Lakes High School finished fourth at 4-3, qualifying for the playoffs for the first time in school history.

Cypress Ranch and Bridgeland will be 16-6A’s Division I representatives, while Cypress Lakes will participate in the Division II-6A bracket.

In 17-6A, Cypress Falls High School finished one game behind Spring Branch ISD’s Memorial High School with a record of 6-1 in district. Cy-Fair High School placed third at 5-2, while Stratford High School finished fourth.

Cypress Falls and Cy-Fair will be 17-6A’s Division I representatives.

Cypress Lakes High School finished the 16-6A district season with a 4-3 in-district record, qualifying for the playoffs for the first time in school history. The Spartans will meet Magnolia on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.

The following bi-district playoff matchups are set for this week:

  •          Cypress Ranch will play Klein on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium (8877 Barker Cypress Road)
  •          Bridgeland will meet Klein Collins on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at Klein Memorial Stadium (20235 Cypress Rosehill Road)
  •          Cypress Lakes will face Magnolia on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium (14350 FM 1488)
  •          Cypress Falls will play Houston Bellaire on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at Ken Pridgeon Stadium (11355 Falcon Road)
  •          Cy-Fair will meet Houston Lamar on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at Delmar Stadium (2020 Mangum Road)
