April 9, 2026—District 17-6A boys’ basketball coaches recently released the 2025-26 17-6A All-District Boys Basketball Team following Cypress Falls High School’s first state semifinal appearance since 2017.

Cypress Falls senior forward Daniel Patton earned District MVP honors after averaging 20 points per game for the Golden Eagles. Cypress Ridge High School junior guard Jonathan Bracey was recognized as the Co-Offensive MVP while Cypress Creek High School senior guard Tywan Collins earned the district’s Defensive MVP after finishing his high school career with a school-record 190 steals.

The district also recognized both Cypress Creek junior forward Elijah Trahan and Cypress Falls sophomore guard Alvin Washington as Co-Newcomers of the Year.

On the sidelines, Cypress Falls Head Coach Richard Flores was named Coach of the Year after leading the Golden Eagles to an undefeated district title and an overall 30-6 record.
